The status bar changes according to the presence/absence of the application in the status bar itself (see Preferences).
Generally, it displays three sections:
Application toolbar (left): has the list of the application configured in the Preferences context. In the example shown only Internet Explorer is configured. Clicking on the application icon opens the application itself.
Information (center): Area that MNB uses to show information on system status and system notices. In the example below MNB notifies the receipt of a new news item.
Date (right): The reference date usually holds the date of the currenty day. Clicking on the date opens the Calendar window, allowing for date change. If a date before the current day is selected, the list of news pertaining to that date is automatically shown.
