Generally, it displays three sections:
| Application toolbar (left): has the list of the application configured in the Preferences context. In the example shown only Internet Explorer is configured. Clicking on the application icon opens the application itself. |
| Information (center): Area that MNB uses to show information on system status and system notices. In the example below MNB notifies the receipt of a new news item. |
Date (right): The reference date usually holds the date of the currenty day. Clicking on the date opens the Calendar window, allowing for date change. If a date before the current day is selected, the list of news pertaining to that date is automatically shown. |
